M.U.D. Ministries

The Outdoor Extravaganza is intentionally designed to reach men and their families. We have a national Coordinator that can help you in every aspect of planning one of these outreach events. M.U.D. Ministries provides a couple of tools that we have found to be very effective in getting people to come and be a part of this community- wide event that can be hosted by your church.

The first tool is a professionally set up 3-D archery course. We provide the targets and the set up; you provide the location. This draws a tremendous response from the local community. It never ceases to amaze us at who and how many people normally attend this daytime event. From grandparents to children, people love to participate in and watch this event. Many churches have offered other daytime activities as well; M.U.D. Ministries can give you some direction in this area.

The second tool is we give away the Outdoor Extravaganza Hunt of a Lifetime. We allow every male, 18 years old or older, to register for this hunting trip with the M.U.D. Team. At each church, we draw a name that is then placed into a drawing at the end of the year. One person’s name will be drawn in this final drawing, and the winner has the opportunity to go on a “hunt of a lifetime” with and sponsored by the M.U.D. Ministries Team!

The most important part of this event is the banquet. Some have called this “a wild game feast on steroids,” and that is pretty accurate. Most churches provide a meal (i.e. BBQ, Fish, Chicken, etc) and all the “fixin’s.” Some folks enjoy providing wild game samplers and bringing their trophy animals to be judged. Normally, a church will provide other door prizes, and the event is a lot of fun. Eric shares an evangelistic message at each Outdoor Extravaganza that God has used in a powerful way. When available, some churches ask that Eric bring one of his friends along with him to speak. They “tag team,” and Eric is the finisher. Eric has partnered with well- known celebrities like Brock Ray, Bobby Humphrey, and Rick Burgess. Regardless, the Gospel will be presented and hundreds of people can be introduced to your church. If you would like to have one of Eric’s friends come and speak, please just give us a call and we can see what their schedule allows.

M.U.D. Ministries only books a limited number of Outdoor Extravaganza’s each year. Most churches combine this weekend with the “All Family Revival” to be the most effective in the use of their time and efforts.
